Our company uses your controls in a lot of our web applications.  Recently we developed a new app using your new 2008 ASP.NET Ajax controls. We are using the grid control, dropdowns, rad windows, Ajax managers, Ajax panels, date time picker, and others.  Through testing we have notice a lag in the rendering times of the controls.  The rad windows specifically lags more than any of the other controls.  Is there a way to preload the controls in the deployed website? Or is there a way to optimize the .dll so that the controls can render faster.  We have already turned debug off for the production release and we also added the Telerik .dll to the GAC.  Is there anything else I can do?  We are currently risking the possibility of stripping out all the rad windows, as UAT is complaining about the overall speed.  I know there is overhead with using the Ajax stuff, and that is expected.  I have also looked at your optimization for your grid, but our grid only has 30 records in it at a time.  Just need to see if there is something else I can do.  I am currently using the first 2008 ASP.NET Ajax release (2008.1.619.20), I haven’t updated to the newest update yet.

Hi James,

Useful tips about how to optimize the performance of our controls as much as possible you can find under the following section on telerik.com:

http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/top-performance.aspx

Additionally, the information from this public forum post can help you further in speeding up the loading time for our input, date picker, window, splitter, etc. components. I hope that you will find them useful.

Kind regards,
Stephen
