Hello,
Using jQuery you can manipulate separate DOM elements, while RadSplitter is a control with complex HTML structure and changing the behavior of a single element will not trigger the complete operation.
In order to apply modify the size of RadSplitter client-side you need to use the RadSplitter's Client-Side API.
