Hello,

I'm now developing a product/promotion website and I want to post the promotion summary on facebook together with our main website url.
By using RadSocialButtons from RadSocialShare control -
if SocialNetType="ShareOnTwitter", I can share a link together with some text that I defined in TitleToShare attribute.
But if SocialNetType="ShareOnFacebook", I can only share a link that I defined in UrlToShare attribute.

Is there a way to write something when sharing on facebook? (I want to autofill some text in "Write Something" textbox of facebook popup)
I also want to include promotion photo.

Or is there any other way to achieve this?

Thanks in advanced.
Robin

Hi Robin,

The RadSocialShare's ShareOnFacebook button is a Styled Button so that it utilizes the public API that Facebook provides. This API, however, does not let you explicitly set the comment, but only the URL which will be shared. You can verify that on Facebook's Share Dialog page.

Thanks for the reply, Danail.
So, I cannot use RadSocialShare control for this case.
Then, I need to explore and hopefully there would be some facebook api that allow posting on facebook.

Should you find any update on Facebook's API that can be implemented by RadSocialShare, do not hesitate to share it with us. This will help us to improve the functionality in RadControls suite and we will be glad to update your Telerik points in turn.

You can also log any ideas, that you consider to be useful in our feedback portal.
