Shapes of gantt tasks

Can I set different shapes for different task types? E.g.  hexagon or circle.

Currently there is no built-in option to change the task shapes. A possible solution would be to use custom CSS to achieve the desired layout. Here is a very basic example of how the appearance can be altered.
