Setting dates using AJAX after the calendar has initialized

I want to populate the current month with dates which are retrieved from a web endpoint, however the value of the dates field is not rendered unless they're set at the time of construction.

How do I make the calendar recognize the change to the dates field?

I am afraid that there is not built-in solution for that. You can manually find the Dates based on your records and update their styling, however there is no option that you can set that will do this for you.
