I have used sender._calendar.set_datesInRange(new Date(minDate), new Date(maxDate)); to set the range in client popupopening event. but its not working . it si not retaining value if we use navigation adn come back to same month.

You can try using this logic on a different event or use the server-side equivalent logic. Generally, there is an issue logged with some of the client-side methods of the timeview:
