Hello,

Being new to Telerik, I wasn't sure how I could incorporate two fields: one being a drop down of values, and one being a checkbox into the Telerik Scheduler's Advanced Insert/Edit form...  I was looking at some of the examples, but couldn't figure it out successfully.  Any input would be great.

Thanks.

Hello Brian,

Please, see the Customizing the advanced template example:

I hope it helps you get started.

Hello,

That helps thanks.  So the idea is to override the interface using the template, and provide your own complete interface?  There isn't some middle ground where the core out-of-the-box functionality is retained, but you can add custom properties as needed?

Also, that example didn't show the AdvancedForm user control... does the user control simply read/write to the Appointment object?

Thanks.

Exactly. This is is the idea behind the example - we use user controls which replicate the default advanced form. You can find all user controls in your local installation of Telerik.Web.UI in

Live Demos\Scheduler\Examples\AdvancedFormTemplate\DefaultTemplates

Feel free to get back to us should you have further questions.

Best wishes,
