With Q1 2009 we will launch RadToolBar control. Once we officially start the RadToolBar we will start working on a ribbonbar control. Hopefully, we will manage to include it in the Q2 release.

I am sure you don't have a date yet, but can you at least say if it is being worked on for any '09 release?  We are just getting started with our development of applications and I we want to use WPF but we also want to use a RibbonBar for a toolbar.  So needless to say, this is  a huge issue for us.

You are right that we have not set a date for the official launch of RadRibbonBar control. We have started other major tasks for the upcoming Q2 release and we will not manage to also work on a RibbonBar control. The earliest date that we can eventually commit is Q3 2009. However, we cannot promise this for sure as we have not entirely planned the next Q3 release.

In the mean time until Telerik can get us a Ribbon Bar I have been using this one from Microsoft fairly successfully. It may tie you over if you just can't wait.

I'm pleased to announce that the Silverlight Ribbon bar is now available in Beta version. You can check the demos online and download the code from your accounts.

Please let us know any feedback that you have!

PS: The WPF version of the ribbon will be available within less than a month with the beta2 of the suite. Official release is planned for the beginning of November with our Q3 release.

 I am using your SIlverlight Ribbon control, adn I am very glad about it.
I only an ossuie with the missing Office_black theme, since my application needs to be deployed in December, and all teh rest of teh controls are using teh Black theme.

Would you please estimate when the Office_black will be available for the ribbon?

Office_Black and the rest of the missing themes for the ribbon will be available next week with beta2 release. Next week we will release and the WPF version of the Ribbon. Official release is planned for the beggining of Novembter.

I'll be glad if you share any feedback on your experience with the Ribbon so far. If you have any issues with it - we will be glad if we can address them for the official release.
