Returing the selected file name to a content page

I'm using the example as define here
http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/fileexplorer/examples/fileselectordialog/defaultcs.aspx

All seems to be working very well, except that I can't get the selected filename via 

openerPage.OnFileSelected(wnd, item.get_path());

The only difference that I can see in my setup is that my initial page or openerPage is a content page of a master.

Any ideas?
