There was an old post about this but I've never been able to find it. At high zoom levels (20 and 21), the Aerial mode usually doesn't show images. Other modes show a zoomed-in version of the previous images, including AerialOnDemand. There doesn't seem to be a way not show labels with AerialOnDemand, unfortunately. Can Aerial be changed so that it also shows the zoomed-in previous images?

Bing documentation says: "Note: Some imagery may not be available at all zoom levels for all locations. If imagery is not available at a location, a message is returned in the ErrorDetails collection of the response."

Hello Jason,

First of all, please allow me to say that indeed there is no way to prevent showing labels when the mode is AerialOnDemand. This is due to the specifications, which are outlined in the bing documentation. Additionally, as you have already observed, the api does not return images for some zoom levels.

That said, the described scenario seems to be a valid one and I have logged in a new feature request in our feedback portal for this functionality: Map: Implement scaled images for BingRestMapProvider in Aerial mode when the ZoomLevel is high. You can follow it in order to get notified for any developments. I have also added some telerik points to your account as a small gesture of gratitude for bringing this to our attention.

Hello Jason,

I am happy to inform you that this feature is already implemented and will be included in our latest internal build. It should be available for download from your telerik account in the beginning of next week (usually on Monday).

You can give it a try and share any feedback here or in a new support ticket/forum post.
