Hi,

When I install my program on my clients computer, everything works except for the reports (telerik reporting).  When I try to view a report I get "unable to find the requested .net framework"  This project is vb.net, sql server, .net framework 3.5.  It of course runs fine on my development machine.

TIA,
Barry

Hello Barry,

Unfortunately the provided information is insufficient for us to determine what might be the problem. This is a generic .NET error and a quick search on the net shows various problems that might lead to it. If the problem occurs only on your client computer, please check whether he has .NET 2.0/3.5 frameworks installed since this is what your application is targeting. Additionally check the Visual Studio output window for more info and stack trace.

Best wishes,
Steve

Hi,

I am sorry to bring this back around but I am still unable to fix the problem.  I have checked to make sure that the .net 3.5 framework is on the target machine.  I have also loaded 4.0 and ole db just to see if anything changes.  The base application uses sql server and works fine with what I assume are calls to the .net framework.  If there are specific ioptions or modules or any ideas to help me solve this problem I would appreciate it.  The other option may be Crystal Reports.

TIA

Hello Barry,

As stated in our previous post, we can only guess what is the problem as this is a generic .NET error and not an error directly related to our product, moreover you're the first one to report it.
Have you verified that the problem occurs only on your client machine? If so, clearly it is a machine specific problem and not a problem of Telerik Reporting or your application. If the error occurs on other machines as well, please open a support ticket and attach a sample application that shows the problem and we would investigate.

Sincerely yours,
Steve
