Hello there

we have a Silverlight project (2010.3.1110.1040) using several reports (4.2.10.1110) trough ReportViewer which basically run fine. However, trying to access them from a 64-bit Windows 7 client (using 32-bit IE 9 since 64-bit browser is not supported) fails on opening reports. Acrobat Reader X 10 is installed.

Searching through the Telerik sites and forums I was not able to find a clear statement saying whether reporting combined with Silverlight is supported for 64-bit clients or not (developped and deployed on 32-bit machines by the way).

Thanks for your help in advance

Rudolf

Hello Rudolf,

Telerik Reporting is an embedded engine, thus as duly noted in the System requirements page it would work on both 32 and 64 bit environments. To verify that claim, some insight info - the whole Reporting production team works entirely on Windows 7 64 bit machines for its daily development tasks.
In short there must be some other reason for your troubles. We did not get from your post whether the issue is with showing the report in the viewer or exporting to PDF and opening the file. Please provide detail info on the problem so we can advise you accordingly.

Greetings,
Steve

Hello Steve

I can confirm that it works in a 64bit environment - I've set up a Windows 2008 machine on which it all works well.

I will see to find some time in order to discover the reason why on the Windows7 pc it does not work.

I'll keep you up to date

Regards
Rudolf
