Hello all,
we are encountering some problems using Reporting ReportViewer. Running the project, system throws an exception stating it cannot find Telerik.Windows.Control assembly version (and so on...).
Please, can someone explain us wich are the correct assembly versions to view a report in a WPF application?
Thank you,
Attilio Gelosa.

having the same problem.
using reporting 2010 and RadControls for WPF latest version (sp2)
when running the application i'm getting this message:
"Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Windows.Controls.Navigation, Version=2010.1.422.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5803cfa389c90ce7' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) Error at object 'System.Windows.Controls.ControlTemplate' in markup file 'Telerik.ReportViewer.Wpf;component/Themes/Default/ReportViewer.xaml'."
could it be that the reporting version doesn't know how to work with the latest version of the rad controls?

Hello Attilio,
As explained in the System Requirements article, the WPF viewer requires the corresponding RadControls for WPF version , available at the time of the Telerik Reporting release. In other words if you are using Q1 SP1 version of Telerik Reporting, you should use Q1 SP1 version of RadControls for WPF as well. If you are using a newer version of RadControls, you should use binding redirects as outlined in the following article: Using Telerik Reports in WPF application.

Steve

Hello all.
Following the links in your answer we download all files you released in 2010. Now we have:
RadControls_for_WPF_2010_1_0309_DEV.msi
RadControls_for_WPF_2010_1_0603_DEV.msi
Telerik_Reporting_2010_1_10_317_dev.msi
Telerik_Reporting_2010_1_10_423_dev.msi
As you can see no version number meet. Our question is: which are the winner couples?
Thank you for your cooperation,
Attilio Gelosa.

Hi Attilio,
The version numbers are irrelevant and this is not what we've meant in our previous reply. It is the Q version that should match i.e. Q1, Q1 SP1, Q2 etc.
As my last sentence from previous reply states: If you are using a newer version of RadControls (e.g. an internal build or beta), you should use binding redirects as outlined in the following article: Using Telerik Reports in WPF application.
All the best,
Steve

Hello all,
that's ok ... it's the "Q" version that metters and not the file version.
We surfed your web site and discovered that: RadControls_for_WPF_2010_1_0422_DEV.msi is the Q1 2010 SP1 version and RadControls_for_WPF_2010_1_0603_DEV.msi is the Q1 2010 SP2 version.
This is not so clear for Telerik_Reporting_2010_1_10_421_dev.msi and Telerik_Reporting_2010_1_10_423_dev.msi files. They are the last two file you release. Can we assume that the "421" is the "Q1 2010 SP1" and the "423" is the "Q1 2010 SP2"? If not, which are the right files?
Thank you,
Attilio Gelosa.

Hello Attilio,
Although the latest Telerik Reporting version is marked as 4.0.10.421 in the release notes, the actual version of the assemblies is 4.0.10.423. So the answer is yes, v. 4.0.10.423 of Telerik Reporting is Q1 SP1.
As we have not released Service Pack 2 for Telerik Reporting, you should use binding redirects as advised in the previous post if you want to use Telerik Reporting Q1 SP1 with RadControls for WPF Q1 SP2.
