Does anyone know when this will no longer be marked experimental (or did I miss a configuration step on the upgrade to R1 2020)?

Hi Chris,

The Web Report Designer is still under active development, and that's the reason to be distributed as experimental. We are planning to remove this mark in R2 2020 scheduled for the middle of May 2020.
