I am trying to create a report that when I put a sub report on it, the sub report causes objects or fields to move. Researching the problem I have read a lot about margins making sure everything fits. I have done everything I can think of. My sub report width if 5.5 inches. I have made the sub report margins to zero. but still moving objects like it does no have room. I have attached a screenshot of the report in print preview mode along with my report and sub report. please tell me what's wrong, i feel it something easy

Hello,

Pay attention to the actual used size of the report.

Firstly, enable the "Show snap grid". To do so,  look at the circle on the bottom left in the attached image. You'll see the "printable border" of the report noted with a red vertical line (the blue arrow shows it). This means that anything that is printed beyond the borderline will be printed on a new page and will most likely case layout problems to the report.

Try to update your subreport to fit into the red lines. Make sure the size of the subreport is either equal or less to the main report.

You could also pay attention to the "exclamation marks" on the top right part of the report. They usually warn you on some general problem with the report - in most cases this would be some layout considerations.

Let me know if these guidelines helped.

If not - I'll try to provide some more details or try to update the report slightly. Unfortunately, I cannot run it because I don't have access to the data source.
