Hi,
We are currently implementing telerik report into our application and found that print function doesn't print.
I tried the online telerik demo site (http://demos.telerik.com/reporting/sales-dashboard/demo.aspx) and click on the print icon. There isn't anything come out the printer? I tested it with IE 7 and Google Chrome. Please help we have next week release date!

Hi Bin Wong,
There is some misunderstanding here. Telerik Reporting cannot and would not print directly to your default printer. If you have Acrobat Reader installed on your machine (required for true printing), it would open its PDF print dialog (see AcrobatPdfPrint screenshot) where you should choose printer, apply other settings and print or cancel the print.
If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed, the report viewer would use the default browser print capability, which prints only the data available on the current screen (see DefaultPrintDialog screenshot).
All the best,

Thanksfor the quick respond. We do have Acrobat Reader Version 9.3 installed and Idon’t see the PDF print dialog pop up. Well there isn’t anything pop up after Iclick the print icon. Wework for Army and inherited high security setting. Is Telerik reporting has toaccess some local libraries and get blocked? I checked the pc event logger andfound no error. Is there way I can debug it? Finallymy PC can open and print PDF files or web.

Hello David,
Check if the Adobe PDF plug-in is enabled in your browser, as it may be disabled and you would still be able to open PDF files, but the plug-in itself would not kick in. Still as explained in my previous post, if the viewer does not detect the plug-in, it would open the default browser print dialog. If that is not happening, then there might be various reasons that disallow the print dialog to be opened from your browser e.g.:

- Disable Print menu in IE group policy
- disabled javascript
- 3rd party software that further isolates browser features
