Report Designer Page numbers in Header/Footer issue

I am getting below error while implementing page numbers below

= 'page ' + PageNumber + ' of ' + PageCount

Hello Imran,

Are you sure you are setting the text in the Page Footer? You would get a similar error if you try to access the page numbers in the Details section. Attached you can see a report that reproduces the problem and resolves it in the page footer section.

I am putting PageNumber object in Report footer section only. the attached report is giving me below error

Your attachment solved the issue, I was entering the Object in wrong place.

Hello Imran,

Note though that the Page Functions may be used only in the Page Sections. You cannot use them in other sections such as Group Header/Footer, Report Header/Footer, and Detail section.

If you need further assistance, could please send me your report with sample data so I can test it and see from where the issue is coming?

In fact I am not using the function, I am using PageNumber from global objects in report footer section.

Not only the page functions cannot be used elsewhere, but the PageNumber and PageCount objects also.
