Hi there

I am having troubles getting RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX to install properly, and before I get all carried away and put all sorts of stuff everywhere, I thought I'd start off here.

I have VS 2008 Pro installed locally with .NET 3.5 on XP Professional.  IIS is on our Windows 2003 server, as are all the web site files.  Our network is running on a domain, so a typical development URL is http://website.webuild.local.

What do I have to install on my local machine, and what goes on the server?  So far I have downloaded the EXE installation file and put that onto my local machine.  I have the Telerik controls in my VS Toolbox, but no intellisense.  How do I get the intellisense to work?

I have tried to add RadEditor to a form, only to get:

D:\Shared\WEBSERVER\CWC02_CMS\App_Data\RadSpell\en-US.tdf' is missing. The spellchecking functionality of RadEditor requires a dictionary file named 'en-US.tdf' in the 'D:\Shared\WEBSERVER\CWC02_CMS\App_Data\RadSpell\' folder. Please, ensure that all needed dictionary files from the original RadEditor distribution are present. See the help for more details Controls > RadEditor > Spellchecker

Which leads me to believe that I need to install something on to the server.  I will have many sites accessing these controls, so ideally a single location which can be referenced by many sites.

I have also had issues in the past with debugging sites with the previous version RadEditor, so that needs to be working as well.

I would like to think that I only had to read the help files that came with the EXE, but that hasn't seemed to help me so far, hence the stop and pause.

Hi Kit,

Here are the answers of your questions:

How do I get the intellisense to work? - see the following Kb article on the subject: Adding Visual Studio IntelliSense support for RadControls.

In regards to the missing dictionary problem, please, review the following help article which describes how to workaround this problem: Enable RadSpell in RadEditor.
