Hello everybody,

Is it possible to rehost report designer in my windows forms or wpf application? Is it legal or have I to buy additional license?

Thx

Hello Radovan,

There is no problem from license point of view, but such functionality is not available out of the box and implementing it on your own would be a hard tedious task.

Are there any plans to offer such rehosting or a stand-alone report designer?
Does not have to operate on live data. Could have it as xml file.

Hi Tormod,

We are working on a stand-alone report designer, yes. If all goes well, we will have an official end-user report designer early next year. The reports would be most likely in xml format as you guessed.

Kind regards,

Is there any update on this.  I cannot see it on the roadmap and we really need this too.

I really like using the telerik tools, but this End-User functionality is a must which others already support.  Please can we get a firmer answer on the eta.

Hello James,

End-user designer is a work in progress and we hope to have a first version sometime this year, but cannot engage with a time frame at this point.

As we're gathering feedback on the end user functionality, we would appreciate if you share how you envision an end user designer, in what technology do you see it would best fit, if you have any specific requirements that you want covered, please share them with us there and we would have them in mind while working on this feature.

Regards,
Steve
