RadTreeList Detail Clientside API

Hi:

I am looking for documentation on Clientside api for RadTreeList which provides more detail information than can be found on the available documentation. I am looking for Object models,Methods, Details aboutn Event Arguments etc.

Does such document exist or the installed documentation is all that is available.

Hi shabbir,

Currently, the Getting familiar with the RadTreeList client-side API help topic is the only article on the RadTreeList client-side object. We are constantly improving the client-side API of RadTreeList and the documentation will be accordingly updated with additions on new features, methods and properties when these are available in RadTreeList. If you have any particular inquiries based on your needs, let us know.

How do you get all the items in a RadTreeList on the client side?  It doesn't seem to support the same client-side methods as the RadTreeView and there is not documentation on how to do this.

You can use $find("RadTreeList1").get_dataItems(). I have notified our help team and they will be updating the documentation. I have updated your Telerik points with additional 300 for letting us know we have missed this - a contribution to the improvement of the Telerik products and resources.

How do you get the DataKeyValues for a clicked item in the client side ItemClick event.  I have the index but can't figure out how to get the actual data.

Retrieving data key values of treelist items on the client side will be supported in the upcoming Q2 2011 release of Telerik RadControls.

Do we have any idea when that might be.  Q2 ends the end of the month.  If we are talking next week that I can wait for it otherwise I will need to redesign many pages to not use this control since I can not access the underlying data.

The beta release of Q2 2011 is due before the end of June where you will have the chance to try the new client-side treelist APIs.
