Are documents written by the WPF XamlFormatProvider fully understood by the Silverlight XamlFormatProvider and vice versa? I'm asking because we might need OSX support down the road which we would provide using Silverlight if possible.

Hi Oliver Weichhold,

We're doing our best to provide the best interoperability possible. We're not aware of any issues between the two XamlFormatProviders except with InlineUIContainers. If you need maximum compatibility, try to avoid these, as they are platform-dependent: there are some small differences between the UIElements of Silvelight and WPF which may break the documents.
