The 2010 Q2 release notes says that "RadGridView can be transposed' but cannot find information on how to actually achieve this.

Hi Andrew Powrie,

We would like to apologize for misleading you regarding this feature - we had plans to provide support for transposing the grid, which was on our Roadmap, however we did not have enough time to provide this feature. To our regret, the feature made it unnoticed to the release notes (I guess copy/paste did us a bad favor in this case). The release notes have been updated to reflect that we do not have this feature.

Again, I am sorry for not being able to provide this feature on time.

Best wishes,
Vassil

So... does this mean it's being planned for a future release?

Yes, Kevin Bourque,  we plan to implement this feature in one of our upcoming releases. However, it is not scheduled yet and I cannot give a strict time frame when it will be implemented. Nevertheless, we will appreciate your feedback on what exactly do you expect from this feature.

I am looking forward to your reply.

Kind regards,
Jack

Hi Jose,

Thank you for your interest.

Currently, RadGridView does not support transposing. Nevertheless, this is a nice feature and we have it in our feature backlog. Implementing it is not trivial and will take its time. Currently, our attention is focused on other tasks such as the MSAA support, which we will implement in our upcoming release. Of course, if more people request the same functionality, we will raise its priority.

Should you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

All the best, Jack

Hello,

I want just to know if the transposing function has already been implemented, or if it is scheduled for upcoming versions.

Kind regards.

Hello Aymen,

RadGridView does not support the transpose feature and currently it is not scheduled. We will consider increasing the priority of this feature if more people request the same. Could you please share with us your scenario? This will help us to shape the feature when implementing it and maybe we can offer an alternative solution at this moment. In our latest release we introduced a new control - RadPropertyGrid. It provides functionality similar to a transposed grid and I recommend that you try it. We will appreciate your feedback.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Greetings,

Hello,

When this feature will be implemented? I saw a blog post about RadPivotGrid, but it doesn't support editing, so i need a transposed RadGridView.

Hello Lisitsa,

Thank you for writing.

This feature is still not implemented and we still have not scheduled it since there is not much interest for it.

Currently I would suggest you to manually transpose the data and then use it as data source for the grid. More information can be found in the following pages:
I hope this helps.

Dimitar

Hello Dimitar.

Unfortunately, this can't be of any help to me: I want column to be rows and vise versa so I can set styles for a columns (rows after transposing), and it will be too difficult with the ways you have suggested.

I need something similar to https://rotatedwpfdatagrid.codeplex.com/.

You said that "we had plans to provide support for transposing the grid", but it needs to have more people needing for this. So I have created a feature request here:
