Hi,

It seems that when setting both "Right to Left Layout" and "Right to Left" properties of the RadForm to 'True' the border of the form is drawn incorrectly, with the left side of the border disappearing.

Also, I am using the theme Office2007Blue.

Roy.

Hello Roy,

Thank you for your feedback. I have reproduced the issue and we are going to fix it in one of our future releases. Unfortunately, I cannot give you an exact time frame for this. I have updated your Telerik points for your feedback.

Hello moh amm,

The enhancement of Right-To-Left support is identified as a major task for the Q1 2011 release which is due out in mid-March. You can view more about the roadmap here

Hope that helps

Hello,

Attached is a screenshot of a RadForm that I have set RightToLeft on. Everything looks normal to me. Please can you confirm which version of the controls you are using and attach a screenshot of your issue.
Many thanks
Richard

Thank you for your replay.
But the problem will force my company to give up from using Telerik Tools because our Project is in Arabic language.
I hope you will help me soon.

Hello,

Just to let you know I've been in touch with Telerik about the issue. It will be addressed in the Q1 2011 release which is due out in the first half of March. In the meantime, if a workaround can be found it will be posted.
Hope that helps

Hi moh amm,

As Richard mentioned, implementing Right-to-Left support in all WinForms controls is a major task for Q1 2011. Most of the controls in our latest release already do support Right-to-Left.

In regards to the question about Right-to-Left layout: we are aware of this issue and we have made researches about this behavior. Our WinForms controls are based on custom GDI painting and it seems that there is an issue with the GDI painting when the Form's RightToLeftLayout property is set to true. This is rather an issue in the .NET framework. As you can see in the attached project in which no Telerik controls are involved, there are visual glitches when minimizing/maximizing/resizing the form. However, we are trying to work around this issue and your case can help us do so.

Could you please give us more information about your scenario? What is the reason you want to use Right-to-Left layout and how do you expect it to work. This will let us help you better with your case and could also give us an idea of how we should work around this issue.

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Ivan Todorov

Dears,
Any updates regarding this issue?
I have installed RadControls for WinForms Q3 2012
and the problem still occurs as you can see in the attached image.
Any time estimation when this will be resolved, since it is critical for right_to_left languages such as arabic.

Hi Kamel,

I cannot specify any time frame for addressing this issue as we are not yet sure what is causing it. Please note that setting only the RightToLeft property works correctly and you can still create applications that are compatible with right-to-left languages. The only functionality that the RightToLeftLayout provides is mirroring the location of the controls which can also be achieved by changing their location and anchor.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

All the best,
Ivan Todorov

Hi Walid,

Thank you for contacting us.

Can you please elaborate your exact problem. I am asking this since I tested setting Right-To-Left to Yes on a RadForm from our latest release - Q3 2013 SP2 and it seems to render properly (look at the attached image).

Looking forward to your reply.

George

This bug reported on "12 Feb 2009" but not fixed after more than 7 years on "Telerik UI for WinForms Q1 2016", so sorry for your weak development.

Hello Hamed,

Thank you for writing.

Please allow me to explain how we prioritize the issues that our users report. We are taking into consideration the following key points:
• Is the reported issue a show-stopper;
• Does the reported issue have a workaround;
• What is the severity and nature of the issue (for example – memory leak issue, performance issue, functionality issue, styling issue);
• How many users have reported the issue / How many users have voted for a feedback item.

Since there is a workaround for the RTL support (see IvanT Todorov's reply on 25-Oct-2012) and there are other issues which require more urgent fixes, this feature is still not addressed. If more customers vote for it, we will increase its priority. Please cast your vote to the item related to the RightToLeftLayout support: http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/154/Feedback/Details/156951-add-radform-add-support-for-righttoleftlayout

I hope this information helps. Should you have further questions I would be glad to help.

Regards,
Dess

right to left layout is completely out of use in Telerik RadForm UI.

"True" value for both "Right to Left Layout" and "Right to Left" properties in "RadForm" causes several problems in form:

# it doesn't refresh pixels in form area correctly.

# it cuts left side of form so you can't see and access to default Close button of window.

# it will disable background picture properties as we can see same bug in Microsoft object.

i understand you but hope pay attention to "Time" of report as you attention "Vote" counter to fix bugs!

Hello Hamed,

Thank you for writing back.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Currently, RadForm doesn't have support for RightToLeftLayout. You can just set the RightToLeft property to Yes. The not supported RightToLeftLayout functionality provides mirroring the location of the controls which can also be achieved by changing their location and anchor.

We will consider it in the future suite's improvement.

I hope this information helps. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.
