Hi,
Attached are the screen shots of the issues I am having. The 3.png is how the html page looks. When I load the page in editor initially its looks like in "1.png" and when I select something it changes to "2.png". Could you please help with as why it doesn't look the final output page then I load it into the editor. I can see all my styles being loaded into the dropdown but the layout looks awkward in the editor. I am using the default Tools.xml file

I tried all that stuff but nothing seems to help. This is my page on the live site http://www.ontheroad.ucla.edu/seattle/event_details.shtml
Here is the html content I am loading the in the editor..You can get the stylesheet from the above site. I think the problem occurs with the span style display:block. Its not causing a line break in the editor, where as on the browser it causes a line beak.

Another issue I have is, I am trying to load an html file into the editor, I get the attached and nothing gets loaded into the editor. It just writes 2010 in the editor. The page I am trying to load is http://www.ontheroad.ucla.edu/common/terms.shtml. It has javascript in the page. I have set the ContentFilters="None" ContentAreaMode="Iframe" properties but nothing seem to help. I would appreciate if you could reply soon

Hi Sunil,
The content rendered in http://www.ontheroad.ucla.edu/seattle/event_details.shtml differs from the pasted one by you in your post on 8/30/2010.
Nevertheless, I believe that the problem is browser related and my recommendation is to load the same content and stylesheet in an editable IFRAME element. You should observe the same result as in RadEditor. For your convenience I have attached a sample HTML page with an editable IFRAME element so that you can test this scenario.
If the problem is not reproducible in the editable IFRAME, please simplify the HTML content and CSS stylesheet and send us an HTML page that demonstrates how the content should be rendered. After that explain how do you load the content in RadEditor. Do you paste it or load it through the Content server property? Attach two screenshots how the content is rendered in the HTML page and in RadEditor/
As to the http://www.ontheroad.ucla.edu/common/terms.shtml error. You should note that when the editor's content area is rendered as an IFRAME, the scripts in the iframe are unable to locate the script functions placed outside of the content area, because the iframe is another document and the functions reside on the parent page and are inaccessible. What you can try is to set the ContentAreaMode property to DIV and test again.

Rumen

The content displayed in radeditor and Iframe file you sent looks the same, but the page looks different on the browsers. How can this be a browser issue. I tried the same thing with ckeditor and it works fine. So it looks like an editor implementation issue for me. You can see in the attached image the text next to "Panel" and "Speakers" is starting on the next line instead of same line as supposed which you can see here http://www.ontheroad.ucla.edu/seattle/event_details.shtml

Hi Sunil,
The content of an <iframe> is an entire new document which does not have a DOCTYPE set and this might cause the issue. Could you please set ContentAreaMode property to Div and see if the problem still exists? By doing this, the content loaded inside the RadEditor will use the same DOCTYPE as the page where the editor resides.
Please let us know if this helps.
Best wishes,
Dobromir
