I am using RadEditor on our company Intranet for users to post News Announcments.  Is there a way to make a custom tool with a paper clip to attach a file to that current post.  I am worried that the document manager will be to complex for most of the users because the would have to figure out how to upload it and the insert that document.  I would like to have it where they clicked the paper clip and a dialog box came up to browse their computer and then they choose it and click attach.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions.

Hi Webtec,

The "Attach File" feature at the bottom of RadEditor is our RadUpload control. You can see how to use it in the RadUpload  demos.

By the way, RadEditor offers an End User manual which could be helpful for your users. The document provides guidance on how to use the RadEditor's dialogs including the Document and Template managers as well.

Best wishes,

Thank you for your response about using the RadUploader.  Is there a way to add a custom tool to the RadEditor that pulls up the RadUploader Dialog Box?

Also do you offer source code for a complete forum solution? I would love to implement a forum on the company intranet, and I really like the way this forum works.

Hi Webtec,

Yes, you can easily create a custom dialog and put an upload control in it. You can see how to create a custom dialog in the following live demo custom dialogs.

We offer a forum module in the our CMS product Sitefinity, but it could not be used standalone.
You can find information about the forum module in this live demo, in this video http://www.sitefinity.com/cms-for-business-users/interactive-tour/index.aspx?m=Forums and in the End User manual of Sitefinity here.

Sincerely yours,
