Hello Everyone,

I am using Visual Studio 2008 and telerik rad controls Q3 2008. Inspite of all successful installations when i open my VS 2008 IDE I do not see toolbar with Telerik Controls. I see general microsoft .net toolbars/controls.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do so that I can see all telerik rad controls in a toolbar. I would appreciate any help.

Thank you,

Regards,
GR

Happened to me sometimes, when I uninstalled an older version after installing the current version. If you do not have dependencies for older versions in your current projects, safest bet IMHO is to uninstall all RadControls Versions, clear RadControls from the GAC and re-install newest Version RadControls.

I think most problems I had, were because of having an old Designer Assembly in the GAC. YMMV.

Hi jack,

Please follow the instruction in this KB article. Do not hesitate to write me back if you still experience any difficulties.

Despite being unrelated to the issue at hand, I would suggest that you install our latest release 2008 Q3 SP1 as it includes many fixes not present in Q3.

All the best,

Thanks for help guys. Inspite of re-installing Telerik Rad Controls, the toolbar was not created automatically. I had to create a tab and browse and select all Telerik Controls from the GAC. But its fine as I got all controls in the toolbar.

Thanks Nick (telerik support) for your help. Can I know is there a vast improvement in SP1 of Q3 2008.

Hello jack,

Thank you for your inquiry. There are a lot of fixes and performance improvements that justify the upgrade. Please refer to what's new section for more details. If you have some specific question or you need assistance during the upgrade we will be glad to help you. In general, it is better to use our latest release since we rearly provide fixes for the previous ones (fixes are incorporated directly in the new releases).

Kind regards,
Nick
