Hi

I have a RadBrowseEditor on a form with its DialogType set to FolderBrowseDialog.

At runtime, if I click the browse button to open the "Browse For Folder" dialog and click the "Make New Folder", type a name for the newly created folder BUT DO NOT PRESS THE ENTER KEY and click the OK button, the Value is set to "New Folder" instead of the name I have typed.

How to fix that?

Hello Eric,

Thank you for writing.

Your question has already been answered in the ticket "RadBrowseEditor does not return the new name if I don't hit enter". For the sake of the community, I am posting here the answer of my colleague.
  • I was able to reproduce the issue on a Windows 10 machine only, on Windows 8.1 this is working as expected. I have logged this issue in our Feedback Portal. You can track the item for status changes and add your vote for it here.

Unfortunately, the only way to workaround this, for now, would be to press enter or click the folder and then press the Ok button.

Your Telerik Points have been updated for this report.
We highly appreciate your effort to make more visible this topic for the community. However, we will be glad if you are using only one communication channel for your future support communication.

Thank you for your understanding. Should you have further questions please do not hesitate to write back.
