"drilldown" functionality

Hi

i have used "TelerikReporting_Q1_2008" version to create report. .
In my report i need to create one link button(depending upon some condition link button is visible). on click of the link button i need to open new report with passing parameter value.

i need to implement above functionlity in my reports but i have no any idea how to implement this functionlity. can you please suggest me how i will implement this functionality.

i have already searched on forum site but not getting any help full information

Hi Santosh,

In its current implementation our product does not have a LinkItem of any kind in its items basket, neither supports making some other item to act as a link.

The interactivity support is one of our main goals in the future, but as for the moment I can not provide version when it will be available.

Thanks for a replay.  actually i want to open new window on click of the item.

My requirement is:

 In reports i will display all accounts details like "Account Name", Account Address etc. when user click on the Account name then new window/ new report is open in new browser with all accounts details.

how i will develop this reports. you have any example like same? can you give me the code. how it will develop?

Hello Santosh,

Making an item which performs some action when clicked (e.g. open a new window and pass some data to it) is required by the interactive reports. However, we do not support this functionality in our product at the moment.

does this funcionality have been inserted in last year?
I need such a functionality as my lead project saw it in sql server reporting services and he would like to implement that inside our application...

As noted in Known limitations of Telerik Reporting article, interactive features are not yet supported in our product. Once we start working on this, it would be included in our Roadmap, so keep an eye on it.

We are happy to announce that Reporting Q3 2010 offers drill down interactive functionality for all report items, but charting (a workaround for charting is posted here). Q3 2010 was released yesterday.

The drill down interactivity complements the previous interactive features, introduced earlier this year (drill through, links, etc.). Review What's New in Q3 2010 Reporting and check the more technical Q3 release notes.

The Q3 version with drill down reporting is available for download in your account.
