Questions on Telerik Reporting

Hi,

We are currently using Telerik Controls for ASP.NET. We are evaluating the use of Telerik Reporting for our application.

I would like to know if the following is supported or is planned to be supported.
a) Sorting of Columns once the report is rendered
b) Filtering of data
c) Customising the report by removal or addition of columns
d) Ad Hoc Query - Expose our application data model and allow the end user to create their own reports through the web.

I am very keen to include Telerik Reporting in our solution, just given the ease of use and excellent support that my team has been receiving.

Hi Santosh,

Thank you for your interest in our Reporting product and your kind words. Up to your questions:

1. As mentioned in our "Known limitations" article, interactive reports are not yet supported. So if you are looking for a RadGrid like sorting - no it is not available. Otherwise you can sort by using the Sorting property.
2. Filtering and Grouping are one of the most used features in any report, so of course we support them as well. More info is available here.
3. You can refer to this forum thread for more info on that topic.
4. End user designer is logged in our features list and will be researched for a subsequent version of the product (no specific date available).
