Q2 web.config problem

I have upgraded a project to Q2.  On the development machine, everything runs without issue.  On the production machine, I get an Internal Error 500, which I've tracked down to this section that's been added to the web.config (once deleted, everything works again):

Edit -
After troubleshooting on the server, it turns out to be an Error 500.19

It appears that scriptResourceHandler, jsonSerialization, profileService, and authentication are duplicated --

Error Code 0x800700b7
Config Error There is a duplicate 'system.web.extensions/scripting/webServices/jsonSerialization' section defined 

I can make the problem go away by deleting out these three <section name="..."> sections.

I have included the web.config file both before and after the Q2 update.

I "fixed" my own problem by creating  a new project and copying the web.config.  This isn't a great solution though, as some of my sites will require much more careful review of the web.config if I'm just going to rebuild it from scratch.

Is it "safe" to simply delete the sectionGroup block?  It doesn't even appear in a fresh project.

Hello Talys,

Generally speaking, the configSection entries should not affect the behavior of our ASP.NET AJAX controls as long as you have them set in conformance with the respective .NET version. of our AJAX assemblies.

From your web.config snippets I see that you have references to ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 dlls (System.Web.Extensions)  - note that they are not needed in case you use the .NET 35 or .NET 4 build of Telerik.Web.UI.dll, part of Q2 2011.

Thanks for pointing out the System.Web.Extensions reference that can be deleted, too!
