Hi,

Since i've upgraded to latest version my website isnt working anymore (assembly problem)
So i checked my webconfig to change the version and publickeytoken  but i dont know
 wich version tu put in "Version" :

And wich string put into "PublicKeyToken"

Where can i find this? my telerik version is 2009.2.701

<add assembly="Telerik.Web.UI, Version=xxxxxxxx , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy />

i've tried to put 2009.2.701.20 in version (dont know if i had to put 53, 20 or 35 for last number)
And keep the publickeytoken 121fae78165ba3d4   like last version.

Now i have an error with my teleriks objects :
for example

(from my natal language) :

mypage.aspx : Execution Error of asp.net :
"The basic class have the field "RadManager1" but his type (Telerik.web.UI.RadManager) is not compatible with the type of
 the control (Telerik.web.UI.RadManager)"

And if i delete the radmanager it will be the same message with the next object on my aspx page.

(Everything was working fine with the previous version).

ok i figured out that in the version the final .20 and .35  is in fact the framework used.

20 = 2.0
35 = 3.5

And that i had to take the .dll in the bin35 folder of Telerik and not in the bin folder.

Ok, still not working.

I desinstalled everything, rebooted, reinstalled the 2009 Q2 only.
i copied the dll in the bin35/ telerik folder in program files
(i have framework 3.5)

i verified in the assembly cache there were only Telerik.web.ui.VSX ??? dont know what is this "vsx"
so i added Telerik.web.UI   and Telerik.web.Design

Then i launched the VS2008 and i tried to compil my old project.
i got 84 errors
 "type or name RadXXXXXX doesn't exist in namespace Telerik.Web.UI (an assembly reference is missing?)"

When i check intellisense on Telerik.web.UI,  the only item i have is "Calendar" (i have also  telerik reporting suite installed maybe its why).

Here is my webconfig :

Resolved, i had to delete the Telerik.web.UI.dll in the project references. and Reload the new one.
And i had also to replace  the version in my  pages, on script section where there were things like this :

.RadPicker_Default .rcCalPopup
{
    display:block;
    overflow:hidden;
    width:22px;
    height:22px;
    background:url('mvwres://Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2009.1.527.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4/Telerik.Web.UI.Skins.Default.Calendar.sprite.gif') no-repeat;
    text-indent:-2222px;
    text-align:center;
}

So i 've put the "Version=2009.2.701.35"
dont know if i had to.

Hello Tgaud,

I am glad you have resolved teh issue yourself and you have your solution correctly runnable now.

I also recommend to remove the fully qualified names from your Web.config (and pages, if you have used the same reference) by replacing the

Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2009.1.527.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4

reference to the dll with simply

Telerik.Web.UI

This will prevent you from further problems when upgrading your project later with a new version of Telerik.Web.UI.dll

All the best,
Svetlina
