When printing (pdf) HTMLTextbox is cropping text when using italic font, although the text shows the full text in screen.

For example....
<i><font size="1">Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.</font></i>

is shown correctly in the web preview, but when printing or exporting to PDF it cropps the last characters/words from each line. If I remove the "<i>" tags it works OK.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Jorge,

You must be using an older version of the product. We have not been able to reproduce such problems with Q1 2011 or later.

Kind regards,

I tested it with Q2 2011 and it still fails.

- I'm using Bookman Old Style with italic formatting.
- In preview (web browser) it works ok (see image1)
- When I export to PDF it crops text (see image2)
- When I export to PDF but without using italics if works ok (see image3)

This is the htmlbox content:
<i><font size="1">_________________________________________<br>Microsoft Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft. It is used to develop console and graphical user interface applications along with Windows Forms applications, web sites, web applications, and web services in both native code together with managed code for all platforms supported by Microsoft Windows, Windows Mobile, Windows CE, .NET Framework, .NET Compact Framework and Microsoft Silverlight. Visual Studio includes a code editor supporting IntelliSense as well as code refactoring. The integrated debugger works both as a source-level debugger and a machine-level debugger. Other built-in tools include a forms designer for building GUI applications, web designer, class designer, and database schema designer. It accepts plug-ins that enhance the functionality at almost every level—including adding support for source-control systems (like Subversion and Visual SourceSafe) and adding new toolsets like editors and visual designers for domain-specific languages or toolsets for other aspects of the software development lifecycle (like the Team Foundation Server client: Team Explorer)</font></i>

Thanks!

Hi Jorge,

We have verified the unexpected measuring behavior when Bookman Old Style with italic decoration is used and we have logged it in our bug tracking system for further investigation

Your Telerik points have been updated for letting us know about the problem.
