I am using an OdbcData Adapter (connecting to a mysql db) and the data fields appear in the Report Explorer. However when I drag and drop to the detail section of the report (or any section), they do not get populated. They come in as a plain text box and I have to manually type the field.

Not a major issue but just looks to be a bug.

Hello Jim,

There was a problem with that in an older version, but it has been fixed in Beta2. Are you using the latest Beta2 version? If you are using Beta2 and it still does not work properly, can you try to connect to a database other than MySql and see whether the same behavior appears.

Sincerely yours,

Rossen, I have just started using Telerik Reports in a current project and find I have the same problem, ie dragging a field from the Data Explorer and dropping it on the report designer simply drops a textbox. I then have to manually edit the Value property to connect the textbox to the field. I'm guessing this is not the intended behaviour!

I am using the Beta 2 version and SQLServer 2005. Also, the behaviour is exactly the same in the samples which are installed from this beta.

Could this be something to do with previous betas not being fully uninstalled properly?

Hi Jonathan,

This is a known issue in Beta2. We fixed it and it will work properly in the official version.
