Hi,

Because of the recent supply chain attack related to Polyfill.io, are there any new version of telerik-angular-report-viewer that has removed the reference to the polyfill.io that we can use in out Angular application.

Please advise.

Thanks

Vas

Hi Vas,

Yes, we released a new build this week where the polyfill script references are removed, you may update the @progress/telerik-angular-report-viewer - npm (npmjs.com) package to the latest version to use it.

How about .net version (Telerik.Web.UI.dll)?

Is there a new .net version with no reference to polyfill script?

Hi Ryan, yes we removed the reference to polyfill.io's CDN two updates ago. You can confirm this by looking at July 9th's release notes => Telerik Reporting - Progress® Telerik® Reporting 2024 Q2 (18.1.24.709)

Polyfill.io was only there to support Internet Explorer with the HTML5 Report Viewer. Since we stopped official supporting IE a while ago, it shouldn't have any affect on you now that it is gone.

So, the reference to polyfill scripts is removed for Telerik UI component as well like Telerik reporting component?

Hello Ryan, yes I was specifically referring to Telerik Reporting. As for UI for ASP.NET AJAX (Telerik.Web.UI), polyfill.io was never used.
