PIVOT TABLE available?

Hi, just wanted to know when your pivot table (like done in radarsoft for example) will be available ?

I want a pivot grid conected to an OLAP cube with SSAS.

It's just a shame that this component is not available yet :(

Hi Tgaud,

The Pivot Grid is in our development plans and we are working on it. As a time frame I cannot be too specific but the first bits are expected in the first months of 2011.

We do have a private beta testing mailing list of clients who want to participate and give an early feedback about the product. We will mail this people once we have something useful to show, but before shipping it to a broader audience. If you want to be added to that list, please let me know.

Im also interested in a pivot grid control. Can the RadGrid be cludged to achieve this? I will be doing the data aggregation on a server so not really bothred about grouping/aggregating functionality. Just want to visually display pivoted data to the user (plus what fields that they are aggregating over)

Unfortunately this is not possible with the current implementation of RadGridView. Nevertheless we are working hard on such functionality. Would you like to participate in our early beta testing program?

how is progress coming with a Q1 2011 first release of pivot table? I have to make a strategic decision of which framework to buy - DevExpress or Telerik

Obviously my first choice is Telerik ;-)

Performance is great, support quick turnaround, plus I'm familiar with the controls. 

I can wait a while but not too long.

The official release of RadPivotGrid will be in Q1 this year (in the end of February). You can check currently available features of our RadPivotGrid in this blog post, in our demos and in our online help. I'm not sure what you mean with the definition "major features" because our customers have different requirements and classification for the features they need. We'll be glad if you send us feedback what do you expect from RadPivotGrid or maybe what you like and don't like, after you have tested it.
