Hi All,

I am currently doing the review of two ASP.Net Ajax Toolkits i.e. Telerik and ComponentArt's Web.UI. The ComponentArt provides three diffierent mechanisms to bind the controls with the data i.e.

  1. Using Ajax UpdatePanel
  2. ComponentArt Callback
  3. Using WebServices

All of the above techniques have their own advantages based upon the Performance, Ease of Use, Features and Elegance. The usage of WebService has an advantage on all the other techniques.

I want to ask you about whether Telerik provides above mentioned capabilities and if so can you please provide me the link to the performance graph for different techniques, also some specific examples will be appreciated. If not then please refer me to the way through which we can acheive the best performance from Telerik Controls. I need to finalize the Toolkit of our product.

Thanking in advance.

Regards,
Ghazanfar.

Hi Ghazanfar,

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX are built on top of the ASP.NET AJAX framework and utilize the advanced object model of the framework and its extended capabilities over the standard ASP.NET model. Each of our controls can be updated in the three ways you specified:

Additional performance optimization tips for our controls can be found in these sections on our site:
