On Angular PDFViewer, none of the hyperlinks on the file are clickable.  Is there a way to enable this?  I have been searching but only see a workaround for JQuery component and not for Angular.

Hi Huy X,

I noticed that a similar inquiry was asked in the following private support thread and I have provided a reply regarding the identical matter there:

Nevertheless, I will share the answer from the other ticket here as well since the information can be useful for other developers in the community who may encounter a similar scenario:

At present, the PDFViewer component does not support having clickable links in the displayed PDF documents. For this reason, I logged the following feature request in our Feedback Portal regarding providing such functionality for the PDFViewer component:

It is important to mention that I have added a vote on your behalf for the above item. This is because we periodically monitor the customer demand for the features and consider their future implementation based on interest.

Feel free to follow the linked feature request in order to stay updated with any progress on its future implementation.

With the above being said, I would like to ask you in the future to post matters either in the Q&A Forum thread or as a private support ticket. This allows our team to maintain a clean track of the support history and respectively provide a better support service in general.

Thank you for your understanding and hope that the provided information was found helpful.

In v18.5.0 or V18.5.2 of Angular PDFViewer, clickable links in PDFs don’t seem to work, including mailto links. How is this supposed to work? Is this working for anyone else?

Also, should this work when 'selection' or when 'panning' is enabled?

Hi Stijn,

I tested the PDFViewer in the following StackBlitz example that uses v18.5.0 of the Kendo UI for Angular components, where it can be observed that the clickable links feature is working as expected:

To see the results, scroll down to the bottom of the loaded PDF file and test the functionality by clicking on the `www.progress.com` link.

For reference, I am also linking below a StackBlitz example, in which the PDF file is loaded from a Base64 format string and the the `www.progress.com` link can still be clicked as expected:

With the above being said, can you please check out the linked examples and let me know if I am missing something for the reproduction of the scenario where the clickable links feature of the PDFViewer is not working as expected? If yes, please share more details about the specific use case and exact steps for replicating the experienced issue with the clickable links functionality.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I am looking forward to your reply.

Regards,
Zornitsa
