Also, please let me know if there is a work-around I can do with the PDF417 2-D barcodes using UI for ASP.NET AJAX. I appreciate it!

Hello,
This is not currently planned. You may consider opening a feature request in our user voice forum.
The UI for ASP.NET AJAX Barcode does not support this type as well so I cannot suggest any workaround for the moment.

According to this post, it looks like PDF417 is supposed to be supported:

As a workaround, I'm currently using zxing.net, but I would prefer to use Telerik's widgets instead. I have submitted a request in the user voice. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to submit the feature request.
Unfortunately, the type is still not supported by the Ajax Barcode.
