Hi,

I would like to export a treeview in a report.
I have to do a page-break in some cases between my nodes.. I read that's not possible to do a page-break programmatically !

How can I solve this problem ?? Any idea ??

Thanks a lot

Cheers,
David

Hello David Chételat,

There is no "treeview" report item and you cannot use external controls inside Telerik Reporting - please elaborate on that part. Also as you've found out in other threads, page breaks are per sections only and cannot be triggered in-between a section.

Sincerely yours,

Thanks for your answer..

My description is not clear, sorry..

The treeview has 3 or 4 level.
I would like to export the informations that are stored in my treeview in a report

The problem is that I have to do a page break when I export the data.
In some cases, I have to do a page break after seconde level, other cases third level...

I have to do a different detail section for each level ?

I hope to be clear....

Cheers,
David

Hi David,

According to your explanation, it seems that you do not really need to create a report, you just want to use it because it offers export to several formats. However a reporting tool is not a document writing software and it serves a different purpose - more info on this is available in our Reporting WhitePaper.
Moreover, the report does not care about how data is represented (in your case treeview), it only cares of what the data is (e.g. dataset, business objects etc.). Preparing the data in convenient way so that it can be used according to specific inquiry is up to the developer.

Greetings,
Steve
