We have a site that contains instructional content. Sometimes this content contains literal HTML that needs to be displayed exactly as is. For some reason RadEditor is injecting "originalAttribute=xyz" and "originalPath=xyz" into the content.

You can reproduce this by pasting the following content into the "Default Settings" sample in the Telerik live demos area (http://www.telerik.com/demos/aspnet/prometheus/Editor/Examples/Default/DefaultCS.aspx)

I forgot to mention that you should paste the content into RadEditor in normal mode, switch to HTML view, then back to normal mode. You'll see the injected content.

If you continue to toggle between normal and HTML mode, the offending content will be injected each and every time, resulting in quite a mess :-)

Hi Chris,

Thank you for reporting this problem. I was able to reproduce the problem by pasting the provided content in Design mode, toggling to Html and back to Design mode again. I logged it in our bug tracking system and we will fix it in one of the upcoming updates of the control.

We do appreciate your help on improving the editor's client filters and we updated your Telerik points.

Best regards,
Rumen

Hello,

Everything was fine before Q1 2009 (beta) and now I got some 'originalAttribute=" ' everywhere.

It seems to be same problem as this post, and a big problem as Editor is useless now.

What can I do ?

Thanks

It was my fault, I used &lt and &gt for some tags and they were decoded...

Thanks

Hi Peter,

I was unable to reproduce the problem with the latest version of RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX.
This means that the problem should not exist also in the latest version 5.7.2  of RadEditor for MOSS.

Please, upgrade to version 5.7.2 and if you still experience the problem provide steps to reproduce it.

Kind regards,
Rumen
