I am currently trying to integrate Editor into another application, this requires that my aspx page is sat inside an IFrame. How can I get the dialogs to use my page's window.parent as the source for the dialogs?

Alternatively is there a way to open the dialogues in external window.open dialogs?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Hello Chris,

At present this is not possible, but this request has popped up a number of times already - so we are working on adding the feature. We are doing our best to have it ready for RadControls Q3 2008 which will be released in the beginning of November.

All the best,

Hi everyone,

FYI:
We were able to add an implementation for the RadEditor dialogs that uses browser windows, and the coming Q3 2008 will feature an example of how to do it.

Hello,

This is good news, I am currenty working with the Q3 release and cannot work out how to do this and cannot find the relevant example either.

Could you point me in the right direction, please!

Thanks

Hi Chris,

I created a KB article on the subject, which provides guidance how to configure RadEditor to use the browser's modal dialogs for its windows. Here it is:

Using browser modal dialog instead of RadWindow.
