Numeric Text Box

So the roadmap says there will be a numeric text box, will we also get a plain textbox as well (with like the EmptyText hover effect perhaps)?

I guess what I'm asking is will there be a BASE textbox at which all others will expand on (ala the RadControls)?

Hello Steve,

We have no short-term plans to implement a base textbox widget, because a hover effect can be defined with a single CSS rule and an EmptyMessage requires a couple of lines of Javascript.

Having a base RadInputControl class in RadControls makes more sense, because the controls are more complex both from server-side and client-side perspective.

We can consider adding such functionality in the future if we find it valuable.
