Do I need a converter of some type ?
I replaced the radDatePicker with a DatePicker and everything worked as expected, I'm thinking that there is somekind of bug or I need a converter.

It seems a bit strange as the DatePicker inherits from the DateTimePicker and there is no logic according to your description. Can you give us an example of the code you are using?
