no data in report

I've just installed the latest version of reporting which appears to be working correctly now - thank you for your previous help :o)

The problem I have now is that when I preview the report I have created with the report wizard it is empty - saying "the source of the report definition has not been specified".

I have compared it to the sample reports and the only thing that I can see that is obvious is that your reports have datasettableadapters also where as the one that the wizard created hasn't.

It must be connecting ok though as it pulled back the fields ok!!!

Unfortunately the info you've provided is not sufficient for us to determine what is causing the problem. Since you say that you've used the report wizard to create the report, can you take a look at the steps from the latter article and let us know if all those are correctly followed. If so, what other steps should we take to replicate this locally?
How do you know "it is pulling fields ok" - does it work in runtime but throws the error when you try to preview it in VS designer? Any additional information would be highly appreciated.

I think the problem was that I had the reports and the viewer in the same project.
