MultiSelect with virtual remote scrolling possible?

Is it possible to use multiselect with remote data with server side filtering? I wasn't sure if there was some state object associated with the multiselect that can be used to achieve this. I know remote virtual scrolling with filtering is posible with the Grid. I've used it in the past. But wasn't sure if this could be done with a multiselect.

At this moment the DropDowns virtual scrolling functionality works with local data only:

Let me also add that we have a logged feature request for adding virtual scrolling using remote data. Feel free to vote for adding this functionality:

We are tracking the customer demand there and will consider including the feature in our future plans, based on the interest.
