How do you get the selected items in a Kendo UI for jQuery MultiSelect to stack vertically?

Here's what I'm getting; note that the textbox keeps expanding horizontally as each item is selected:

A beginner's mistake: This was only visible when testing using the online demo. Locally, the tags fill the box horizontally based on its width and then wrap to the next line to create a very nice visual experience.
