Hello,
The difference in page count when the report document (report, report book) is shown in a report viewer and in a page oriented format such as PDF comes from the fact, that the report viewers show the document in Interactive view by default. It seems that the report's width in the SubReport2 is bigger than the available space. That's why it is moved on below the SubReport1. More information regarding this issue can be found in the Design Considerations for Report Item Layout help article.
