Hello Jay,

As noted in the "Creating Multi-Column Reports" help article: "Multi-column report used in subreport item would be rendered as one-column report". So such behavior of the multi-column report is by design. Our suggestion is to use Table/Crosstab/List item to create your layout instead. It is a separate data item that can directly replace the SubReport item in your master report.

Kind regards,

Dear Ivan.
Actually i have used grouping with multiple columns. And I hv bind report from dataset. not ObjectDataSource(bind From Code behind and also use grouping ).
Now i m facing a problem ,my group header and footer width not set according to my report,so i its not showing multiple columns when we call under in subreport.I m sending layout attachment plz see...

Its open in reportviwer..

Plz tell me how to set width of groupheader and footer from Code not wizard.

Hello Jay,

We have examined the attached screenshot. About changing the width of your group header/footer, you should keep in mind that all the report sections(detail, group header/footer, report header/footer) borrow the width of the whole report. So we suggest to change the width of the TextBoxes within the group header/footer.

If the problem still persist, please send us a runnable sample so we can investigate this locally and advise you accordingly.
