Hi,
I have designed a multicolumn report which has 3 columns. I copied your example and simply changed the datasource and fields in it. I have not changed anything else (including margin, column spacing, page width, etc.)
Now, when I preview the report during design time (going to Preview tab), it does displays data in 3 columns. Great!
However, when I see the report during run time, it displays only single column. Please suggest!
Regards,
Krunal

Hello Krunal Doshi,
Peter
the Telerik team
As noted in the Creating Multi-Column Reports help article - HTML supports one-column reports only thus multi-column reports would be rendered as one-column report as well.
However if you use the Silverlight/Windows Forms/WPF Report Viewer or export/print in a page oriented format (PDF, XPS, RTF) you would be able to see the report as multi-column.

Hi,
I am using Telerik Report Viewer to display my multi column report. Even in Report Viewer also it will display only single column?
Also, is there any option to display the report in PDF (in browser) directly.

Krunal

Hi Krunal,
Peter

Telerik Reporting Web Report Viewer actually renders HTML, so the HTML limitation is valid for the Web Report Viewer. If multicolumn is a must, our suggestion is to use the Silverlight Report Viewer since it supports multicolumn.
All the best,Peter

Is this going to be fixed, in newer versions?

Hello Joel,
Note that the current behavior is not a bug, but a design decision. We do have plans to address this by introducing soft/hard pagination i.e the first would be interactive representation of the report, while the second would be "print preview". This functionality is planned for subsequent version of the product and we cannot engage with a timeframe at this point.
Best wishes,
Steve
