Hi,

I just upgraded from telerik.kendoui.professional.2017.2.621.commercial to kendoui.for.jquery.2017.3.913.commercial. When i hover over a menu item i receive the following error from the console:

SCRIPT5007: Unable to get property 'rootMenuItems' of undefined or null reference

Kind regards,

Marco

Hello Marco,

I have used the following Kendo UI Menu demo to test the described behavior in IE 11 and Edge 38 and I did not manage to reproduce the issue. May I ask you to specify what is your browser version and also to modify the example in a Dojo, so that the error can be reproduced on our end?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Dimitar

Hello Dimitar ,

Your demo does not produce the same error in the Microsoft Edge browser (version 40.15063.0.0). But i create the menu from an array of object, nog with li's. See the attached screenshot for the structure of the objects in the datasource.

Hello,

I have updated the Dojo example, where the dataSource of the widget is used to render its items. I have performed tests in Edge 40.15063.0.0 but there is no sign of a JS error in the browser console. You can refer to the following screencast that shows the behavior on my end.

I assume that I am missing some important details from the way that the widget is configured on your end. Therefore, may I ask you to modify the Dojo sample, so that the issue faced is reproduced? This way I will be able to examine it, troubleshoot the cause of the problem and provide you with further assistance.

Regards,
Dimitar
